The Speaker

When we fear public speaking and are required to give a speech you may ask yourself “why is public speaking important?” Believe it or not public speaking is one of the most important skills you will ever develop in your life. Public speaking is so important that it could be the deciding factor in many things such as your career development, your business growth and even in the relationships you have with your friends and family. Public speaking is a skill worth learning.

I developed an interest, which turned into a passion, for public speaking many years ago after fumbling through an unexpected sales presentation to a group of product buyers. I left the meeting with the ambition to turn my embarrassment into something positive, and joined a local Speakers Club.

20 years later – I have spoken on radio and TV, sat at the top table with government officials at press briefings in West Africa, become the President of my local Speakers Club, and most recently created & produced the definitive online e-learning course in Public Speaking for Success.
